Tomorrow, March 8th, is Nurses Day at the Texas Capital. I going to be attending this event and I will post an update on the day's events. I am proud to say that ending workplace violence is one of the top legislative priorities on the agenda for the Texas Nurses Association along with several other key issues. Nurses will be visiting with their elected officials all day to put a face with the issues that nursing is facing.
I am looking forward to a productive and great day with my fellow nursing advocates. Together we can make a difference!

WOW! What a great day at the Texas Capital. I had a fantastic time at Nurses Day. I had the opportunity to speak with several legislators and their staff about the bills. It was fantastic to see so many nurses "in action" getting involved with the political process.
ReplyDeleteI was also fortunate to speak with Joe Lovelace and Gyl Switzer, two really passionate and interesting folks who are representatives for mental health advocacy groups. It was great to hear their concerns and come together to discuss the intent of the proposed legislation. My hope is that we can work together to protect Texas health care providers so we can continue to serve Texas.
