- The 2011 Texas Legislative session is in full swing, and legislation has been proposed to increase criminal penalties for assaulting a health care provider. When the bills eventually are assigned to committees and hearings are scheduled, it is imperative that legislators hear a great deal of support from THEIR CONSTITUENTS (that means the people that elected them ;-) ). This session our legislators are inundated with financial issues and crises. We need them to hear that this issue is important and that action is needed.
